Palmerston Anatolikon Golf Resort, Cyprus is a real estate and golf course development comprising of an 18-hole Faldo signature design golf course with full practice facilities, which is situated just 10 minutes east of Paphos in Cyprus. The course is set in the hillside facing south with a view to the sea, and has been constructed by Southern Golf who have a reputation for being the best construction company in Europe. The irrigation system, which is a Rainbird satellite de-coder irrigation system, is the most advanced design to meet the demands in this arid climate. The Seashore paspalum (supreme) grass has been chosen (as it is one of the most advanced grasses and ecologically friendly) which has been grown under licence from the USA and will be used throughout the golf course apart from the greens that are sown with A4 creeping bent grass. All greens have been constructed to USGA guidelines and the course is due to open in summer 2009. The golf course is the start of a five-year development plan, which will be followed by real estate development in the hillside overlooking the course and the Mediterranean Sea.
